Lethargic hen

My 2 year old Golden Laced Wyandotte hen isbactinv much less active today. She likes to sit alot more than usual and feels like a small parshaly (sorry bad spelling) abdomen. She did lay an egg 2 days ago and lays one usualy every other day. She is usualy a super active hen who forages even when the others are preening and relaxing. Her crop is normal. She is walking a little slower and a smidge like a pengwin.

I was giving her antibiotics for about 5 days a few days ago becuase i felt this area and thought maybe an infection. It SEEMED less swollen the day after the end of the antibiotics but she is acting more lethargic. I dont think she is egg bound, i dont feel a egg.

Not sure what is wrong with your hen. Hopefully someone more experienced will come along and advise you. In the meantime, I would get some probiotics in her to replenish the good bacteria in her gut. I'd also provide vitamins and electrolytes as antibiotics can be taxing on their system.
