Lethargic hen

We have a young hen that is extremely lethargic, keeping to herself, acting as though she doesn’t want to move. She has no visible signs of trauma. She is moulting and not laying. I did offer her electrolytes and nutri drench. Any help is much appreciated!

Is it winter or summer where you are? For either a hard molt can take a lot out of them. Have you increased her protein?

Age of hen is helpful. Your Location is also helpful. What is typical diet and feed of the hen?

Did the hen take the electrolytes and/or nutridrench?

How long has hen been molting? How long has hen been lethargic?
How are poops? Color, consistency?

We live in SW Florida so it is winter to us, but not like most! Haha She is about 9 months old and they are at 22% protein. Only the back half of her is moulting at the mo

Hmmm. See if she will eat some wetted food. Feather lost could be early molt, but could also be feather picking.

She is 9 months old, we are in SW Florida. She has been molting maybe a week, stopped laying 3-4 days ago when she started acting strange. None of her “sisters” are
Moulting. Our hens eat presprouted whole grains. She did drink some electrolytes and nutridrench on her own. Poop is ever so slightly runny usual color.

She is uninterested in food. She is know holding her wings low. She will drink some when I offer it

yes, she is separated. Put fresh hay in her pen. Will get a better look at her poop
