Hello, I have an 8 week old Easter Egger who began acting lethargic yesterday, standing and laying around with her eyes closed. She is still eating and drinking. I separated her from the group this morning. I noticed a red looking stool in the coop (picture attached). Could this be Cocci infection? There is a vet that will see chickens about 45 minutes from me if needed but would rather treat from home if possible. Thank you in advance for any help!

How is your chick today? That may be intestinal shed, but it does look a little too bloody. I would go ahead and treat the whole flock with Corid, and give the lethargic girl a direct dose first. Don't separate, unless she is being picked on. The treated water should be the only water they have access to, and don't give vitamin supplements contain thiamine ,a B vitamin.

Thank you so much for the reply. I have added the Corid to their water according to the instructions. What would you recommend for the direct dose? She is still lethargic but does not seem any worse, still eating and drinking. Hoping this will help her feel better soon.
