Hello Everyone! My Mr.Wilcox did not get up this morning when I went to water and feed. No greeting, no crowing. He seems confused, like, where am I and who are you? He has a clear vent but his tail is down, he has pooped (seems normal to me). He won't eat or drink. He just sits or stands (with effort) only if I come close. He has a large enclosed coop during the day. At night I bring him in (which he seems to genuinely look forward to) and he sleeps in an extra large dog crate with clean paper, food, and water. This crate is Great Dane size.
He's been healthy every day since I brought him home. My hens are healthy.
He eats layer pellets (he hates the All Flock crumbles), green veggies, and a protein everyday...either dried worms, scrambled eggs, or sardines (no oil or salt). Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

His crop seems firm, not full or squishy.

I soaked his bottom is a warm tub. He just fell asleep and didn't even fight me.
His poo is now very bright green.
Sorry about Mr. Wilcox. Check his crop to make sure it's empty first thing in the morning.

Any chance he ate anything moldy?
If you can find a vet that would be best.

Hard to know about that bright green poop, but personally I would consider Enteritis and Coccidiosis.

Got Mr. Wilcox into a vet today. He was hydrated, fed, and given some ibuprofen. Waiting for blood test results. My fear is that he has Marek's, he started limping this morning and showed no interest in the special food I've been making him. I'm thinking....all of my beautiful girls will go down if he has Marek's. Stressed out BIG TIME! Love these birds.

Did the vet run any fecal tests too?

I'm sorry that he's not doing too well. I hope you get some answers. Please keep us posted.

Oh yes, I brought in two samples.
One was like the photo, bright green and fibrous, the other was brown and full of mucus. He seems to get better and then suddenly worse.
