Lethargic rooster with broken beak

I have a 3-year-old pet rooster. He had a slightly cracked beak in normal. Yesterday morning that crack was bleeding. He cant eat from a hard surface now, so I'm feeding him from my hand. And since yesterday he has been very lethargic. He started to sleep, fell asleep while cleansing himself, and started to sleep without sitting.

I'm not an expert on beak health but that's an incredibly long top beak. Almost looks like he has some sort of overgrowth of his top beak? Maybe others can shed better light on the reason for his lethargy but I imagine he's in pain

yes indeed his beak is long. i retained from cut it because his beak was cracked.

I would trim it back to a normal length, but not all the way back to the crack. The crack will eventually grow out. As long as it is now, he may have been having trouble eating and drinking. It's very painful, but should harden up in a few days and be less painful. I would hand feed him until he starts eating on his own. Using an open deeper dish and mixing his feed with some water to make a thick mash will make it easier for him to eat. I would also do water the same way, an open deeper dish. A bit of cooked or scrambled egg might tempt him also. There may be more going on with him, he may have another health problem, but I would do those things first and see how he does. Get a look at his droppings, to see if they are normal or not.

I'm daily hand feeding him. I went to the vet. He had fever at 42.5C (~108.5F). He is getting daily antibiotics under the skin
