I have 2 11 week old silkies. One has become very lethargic the past few days. She was just mostly standing place. She was eating, drinking, pooping normally but outside of that she just stood still all the time. Today she has taken to laying down all the time. She is making a quiet cooing kind of sound constantly and won't get up. The other one keeps putting it's head underneath her making her get up and move a little. Does anyone know what's going on and what I can do to help?
I hatched these chicks so they are not new to my property. I have tried giving her mash with egg yolk, goat paste, nutridrench. But she won't take amy of the offerings.
No obvious injuries, no lice, no mites.
Closest poultry vet is 150 miles. I can take it Tuesday but It's Saturday and I'm afraid it won't make it through the wait!

I thankfully found out the problem was the poor thing couldn't see. It never occurred to me but it's head poof had just grown in and it is very fluffy! I was scared to trim it, so for now it is sporting an 80's top knot do..It seems to be up and about and doing better!

I seem to be having the same situation as described initially with my silkie. My chics are roughly 3.5 weeks old. I was dealing with a bad pasty butt for a while with a couple but that seems to have cleared up now. We just recently noticed this. We take them out of the brooder for about 20 minutes each day to play in the grass. Earlier in the week she was fine but yesterday she just sat in my hand and fell asleep. I’ll try to get a video when I get home but any ideas? Thank you
