I have never had any trouble raising chicks in the past 4 years. My husband and I bought two Silkie chicks last week and a Brahma and an Easter Egger . We’ve never had silkies before so they are a first time breed for us. Well, we lost one a couple of days ago. It started just standing in place constantly sleeping. It also didn’t appear to be growing. I tried electrolytes, a drop of poultry cell twice a day, tried creating mash with the food. The chick would eat and drink throughout the day and was defecating fine but ended up passing the other night. Now this other silkie chick that’s about a week and a half old is starting to act the same way, sluggish. She is also uninterested in eating now. I can get her to drink but that’s it. Can anyone help? I’m at a loss. Again, I’ve never had issues raising chicks before. These silkies are the exception. The other two chicks are active and growing normally.

Aww, so sorry :hugs

It sounds like coccidiosis, but that's really too young to get it. I guess for lack of anything else I'd try giving them Corid. It wouldn't hurt.

The silkie especially will need extra vitamins after the Corid regimen is done. We use Poultry Cell or Nutri-Drench
