Hello, about a month ago my hen started getting a pale comb, she was still lively as the others but now she seems to be a lot slower. She still eats, she enjoys her treats, but she’s so slow. She lays down most of the day, her comb went from almost white to orange after we gave her some dewormers, to now yellowish. Her feathers look fine, and my other hens are acting normal as well with no signs or symptoms of whatever this hen has. Her stool is watery, and she’s not egg bound. I don’t know what on earth she may have but this morning she was laying down with her head and tail down. I’m concerned for her.

Can you please post pictures of her, including close up of her comb (are her wattles the same color)? Also, what is her diet, including treats? How old is she and what is her living environment? Thanks.

How old is she? Does she lay eggs anymore, and have you seen any soft or abnormal egg shells? How does her crop feel now, and is it emptying by early morning before she eats again. Is her lower belly under her vent enlarged, firm, tight, or squishy? Have you checked her skin for signs of lice or mites? What are you feeding her including anything extra? Pictures of her and her droppings might help.
