Lethargic young bantam with pale skin and yellow eyelids

The little guy was given to me today. He is unsteady on his feet, has pale skin on his face and around his eyes is yellow. I researched and found a possible diagnosis of aegyptainellosis but can’t find info on treatment. Has anyone ever heard of this disease and/or treatment? I think he’s a pretty sick little bird. Thanks for any info.

Where are you located? That can help us to help you with recommendations of medicines and other advice. Can you post any pictures of the cockerel and his eyes? Does he have diarrhea. Are their ticks where he can from, since ticks are how aegyptianella pullorum is spread? It may be hard to tell more common diseases from the one you think he has, since symptoms can be similar. It looks like the antibiotic, doxycyline will treat it. Can you get antibiotics where you live? I would give him some water with electrolytes or a little sugar water. Here is an article to read:
