Kathy what is one to do when they receive 60 quail eggs and the incubator only holds 49? Careful how you answer this some people aren’t so nice depending on your response. 🤔
I fill my turner up with 42. Then in the empty spot on the side, I place the other 18. Mark an X and an O on the eggs so you know which side should be up. Then hand turn the 18 for 5 days. Candle and pull the clears. Fill the turner up with the ones you were hand turning.

Other option is to pay for the quail rails and put them all in the rails.

I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
Let's go

Nope not a cabinet incubator so no stacking.
Many people that do not have cabinet incubators find ways to fit the extra eggs in whether by stacking or in border areas. Eggs need to be turned by hand to prevent the crushing of some eggs that might be hit by the turners. As eggs are candled, infertiles and early quitters are removed and the extras are moved into their positions.

Of course you could just run out and buy an additional incubator which would allow you to eventually use one as an incubator and the other as a hatcher.
