I am curious as to what others are paying for feed. I just hatched some bobs and it seems feed prices have went through the roof since last year in my area.

I am in Oregon in the Willamette Valley and just paid $22.69 for a bag of gamebird starter non medicated with 28% protein. My husband has not gotten home with it yet so not sure if it is a 40 or 50 lb bag.

Curious as to what other are paying in different areas.

Is there a better way to buy a lower protein feed and add your own something to keep content good for getting the birds started.

I get turkey starter for $19.something, but I have to drive across town for it. I live just outside of Denver proper, so the nearest feed store is almost 30 minutes away and I haven't been to that one yet.

I have to drive three towns away, about 45 minutes to get my feed. 16.50 per fifty pound bag of Purina game bird feed with 30 percent protein. May have been a sale price, I don't know. I drive my truck into the place, tell them what I want, pay and drive out. They load it and I never even have to get out.

Thats a pretty good deal if you're talking startena, It used to run me 19-20 bucks on 50pounds

I pay about 13-14 for my 22% layer blend, I think my starter is about 20 (both 50#)

Yea, but I spend about 15 bucks or more in gas to get it.
Being a drive-thru, it's pretty nice for ease of shopping.
They have a feed elevator, but only sell chemical stuff and cow feed there. Everything is sold at the drive-thru.

I have to take the grueling drive of going out of my regular way a whole mile, maybe TWO!
