Thank you PurpleChicken, I hadn't seen the movie version but now I am enlightened. Sorry, Wildsky, to put you through that again. About half of my chickens react that way to being petted and the other half run for their lives. In my coop it's a speckled sussex/ ee thing to enjoy a nice rooster scratch, but the nhr's and the partridge rocks act as if I am trying to kill them.
