Let's play "Guess the Duckling". What is this thing?!

I can't wait til these guys fluff and the 4th gets out so I can snap a pip. You'll see what I mean. The other 2 are silver with small, faint streaks of black. This one is covered with black. And the bill color is different too. I wonder what the 4th will come out looking like.

Appleyard ducklings will have dark tail feathers and a dark Mohawk stripe down the middle of their head.

Occasionally, purebred Appleyards will produce a solid white duckling. It's just the way the genetics work.

Post some more photos when they are all dried and fluffed up.

I read that on a thread here somewhere. 3 out of 4 have the mohawk. I love them!
 
OK. Ya see why I was confused? LOL. I ended up finding a pic of another one.. and I'm told this can happen, and they are usually drakes. Interesting!
