Let's Play..... Hen or Roo???

So.. chicks labeled pullets are actually just chicks that are more likely to be pullets than straight run??? Oh how they toy with us.......

And I'm not sure about the legs, but I am definitely going to check when it stops raining!

I still think it's a roo though... thanks for backing me up guys

Thanks! But now I'm not sure... Your roos comb is bigger than the one I'm questioning for sure.. and they're the same age....

I love his name though! I've had cats named Aslan, Puzzle, and Ransom... All after C.S. Lewis books

Toni.... I know... it makes you wonder...
I'm going hmmmmmmmmm on whether or not yours is a Roo...
a lot of mine look like the pic you are showing... I was guessing they are girls... I have 3 others that look like Prince Caspian. Love your cats names...
I have four cats: Little One Sierra, Kiko, Palomita and Mingo

Happyhensny, I've noticed the long legs too!

And big feet also seem to be a giveaway, although I've had roos come with little feet.

Another thing I've noticed is that when I get a bunch of pullets, the ones who fight and box each other, even when no physical attributes indicate their sex, end up being roos.

Anybody else have similar or other observations?

we have some chooks that are now about 14 wks old. The Roo started growing his legs (what I wouldn't do for a pair that long on me! ; ) a while ago. He started walking, I guess you could say gangly. Like a teenager whose grown too quickly and hasn't achieved coordination yet. He's cute but probably going to have to go. Why can't the boys all get along?
