First time poster, long time reader!
About 7 weeks ago I acquired 4 girls of unknown age. I was told 10 weeks, then I was told 8 weeks... and I'm still unsure. They should be 15-17 weeks old. I have (at least I think I have) 2 Buff Orpingtons, 1 GLW, and a mutt who I believe is blue Ameuracana mix.
I'd love to get opinions on age and breed of my gray girl.
Also wondering when to expect laying to start from these breeds. I have 11 EEs that are 6 weeks in a different coop and they'll all be together after a nice long transition period.
Shadow, our mix mystery. No wattles, no comb to speak of, nice and pink, a little more dainty than the other birds. Very sweet girl.
Chloe, pink but decently developed wattles and comb. Supposedly the same age as everyone else.
2nd buff is Jilly Bean, bright red comb and wattles, also larger than Chloe. GLW is the queen of the group and is also bright red comb and wattles.
