Aww, thanks, guys!

I love looking at all of the elaborate, beautiful, professional-looking coops that some folks build or buy, but there is something *incredibly* satisfying about using my own two hands (and a few power tools) to build a henhouse with materials that would otherwise have ended up in a landfill somewhere. And I just did my best to hide the awkward angles and squiggly cuts...

Mine is on my page....looking for time to finish up the run and move the chickens in.

Here's our old coop. It was hastily constructed from pallets and other scrap a couple of years ago, and we just tore it down last weekend.

The older girls were fairly upset by the change, but they'll get over it when they see their new digs. I hope...

Great ideas here, just scored 12 free pallets from a local business, will post pics when we are done!!

We are moving in a month to OUR house! Being a homeowner gives you much more freedom! Anyway so much to do at the new house! We are planning on building houses for our dogs, a chicken/duck coop, a worm bin, etc! There is a lot of remodel work as well but I really want to keep costs as low as possible so I'm excited about the idea of using free pallets (I just need to figure out where to get them for free)!

Any Ideas on where to pick up free pallets? I'll post all of my projects here when I do them!
