I'm buying breeder show stock (Sicilian) Buttercups (pullet/cockaral trios) and hatching eggs from them, and a few other flocks that are long standing with one owner. (I'm getting regular, not bantam)
I'd like you to talk about your experiences breeding, gathering eggs, showing, or simply your take on these interesting birds!
How many eggs do you really get?
How big are your birds? Have you weighed any?
How is their fertility? I've heard its as bad as 50% in show bird adults of full size and weight (4.5-6 lbs)
Do you have troubles w/their combs going going from "cups" to "antlers"?
How are the pale green legs? Hard to keep true?
