No bubble here. Different philosophy. My inner voice says that chickens are living creatures who aren't for disposal. They gave me eggs while they were younger, trained young cockerels, raised babies. They are important members of the flock, and I can't toss them out just because they are spent. But I know there are many people who see animals as commodities. It's a cultural difference. I get it.

It's not really political. It's a basic flag etiquette question.
But yes, flags that have rips, stains, ETC, should be replaced.

Ok, so I am not crazy, and these neighbors are doing it wrong. It angers me that they leave it flying in bad weather, as well. I feel I should bring it up to them in a calm, polite manner...

I am touchy on this particular subject, no matter what national flag it is; and the sodden, soiled flag is flying right in plain view of my kitchen window right now.
