Hello!
I’m sure you guys haven’t heard from me in a bit, but I am loving my 4 (soon to be 3 as we had to rehome a rooster) flock, but unfortunately, I don’t know how to let them outside out of containment as there are aggressive neighborhood dogs. Should I buy a large tent? I want them to be able to free range around our yard, but have some containment. Any ideas or products I should buy?

Thanks!

Hello! I love the fact that you are working hard to keep them safe! Maybe a chicken tractor? They have some when they can go in the tractor during the day and it is moveable so you can move it wherever you want if the chickens eat all the grass!

Yes! I do have a small, outside aviary for them, but I hope for them to be able to have a large area to move about.

I feel like it would help build some trust for them. Maybe something that can be expanded and block off areas out of our backyard?

Yeah, I know what you mean. Maybe arrange with your neighbors certain times that your chickens can come out and the dogs can't and vise versa.
That’s a good idea, unfortunately our neighbors our uncooperative with their dog. I’m also kind of concerned of them just escaping our yard in general. Is there a way to easily block off areas?

This is a great idea! We actually have a smaller coop that isn’t super heavy so we just moved that today to a spot with new grass!

If their dog is a threat to your pets I would be calling animal control or something…they need to be responsible for their animals
