Letting chickens outside

If their dog is a threat to your pets I would be calling animal control or something…they need to be responsible for their animals
Yeah, we have tried that, but they don’t seem to care about the threat, and we don’t want to euthanize their dog. I’m more concerned about the chickens getting away from me and out into town

Sounds like a terrible situation. I’m sorry. If you aren’t worried about their dog coming into your yard maybe you can just set up a little “play area” with movable fencing?

Hello!
I’m sure you guys haven’t heard from me in a bit, but I am loving my 4 (soon to be 3 as we had to rehome a rooster) flock, but unfortunately, I don’t know how to let them outside out of containment as there are aggressive neighborhood dogs. Should I buy a large tent? I want them to be able to free range around our yard, but have some containment. Any ideas or products I should buy?

Thanks!
I like using a mesh pop-up tent/gazebo when my chicks are still small.
For my full-grown chickens and ducks I use electric poultry netting. Both of these options will not keep out a determined dog though so you'd have to keep a close eye on them.

That’s what I was thinking. Do you have any fencing ideas? I have a smallish one, but now that my chickens are older (rooster crowed this morning unfortunately as we live in the suburbs), we can’t contain them in it. My backyard is fairly large and there’s only a few exit points where they could escape. Any ideas?

Do you mind sending me the links for both?

I use this: https://www.premier1supplies.com/p/chicken-net-12-48-3-electric-netting?criteria=Chicken+Net+12/48/3&species_id=0&cat_id=0

It's very easy to move wherever you want. I don't electrify mine but you might have to since you have aggressive dogs in the area.

They have other poultry netting options here:

That’s looks awesome! One question though, how much square feet and is it easy to break down and set up? I don’t know if my parents will be okay with more chicken stuff in our yard :/

Here are my babies
