My brahmas are now 7 months old. To my eye they seem to be slowing down on their rapid growth, so we weighed them today.
My hens all weighed in the 6 to 8 lb. range, one roo was 10 lbs., the other is closer to 12 lbs.
Does this sound about right for 7 month old LF brahma?

*Even Lil'Bit tipped the scales at exactly 6 lbs. I'm so proud of her!

My Lilly at death yesterday was a tad over 8 lbs and she was 8.5 months old.

so that sounds about right. she was my only one so I cannot compare her to any others.

These pics were taken the day they turned six months old.

My alpha roo Zeus - I was really disappointed that his comb and wattles weren't to the standard, but he's still handsome. By the way his chest is white white, he was just dirty in this pic.

Ummm, Thor again! I think I have a roo fetish. I have twice as many pics of my roos as I do my hens.

Thanks for your opinions Mikarod and Cetawin.
Cetawin, I'd be very happy to send your little girl some free brahma eggs in the spring. They'd be mixed colors, but they'd be all brahma.

Thanks for the compliments hcammack and halo. I'll be sure to pass them along to the gang.
I know they are slow growing, but I'm anxious to see my roos all grown up and in their glory.

OMG Girl! Where you been hiding?
Yeah, Thor said to ask Rudy if he's ready for a beauty contest....or is that a handsome contest?
Actually Thor is in the dog house with me right now. I just caught him on a nest and it wasn't an egg he deposited.
