I have borrowed a LG 9300 which says still air on the box. However, I do not know if this unit's heating element has been upgraded with a built in fan. The owner is not sure. It sounds like a fan is running from the heating element location but I don't know what a fan unit looks like versus a still air heating element. If anyone could post pictures of theirs or tell me how to figure it out I would appreciate it. The reason I am asking is to figure out the correct set temp.

Can you post pictures of yours?
Do you see a fan?

Make sure you get extra thermometers and calibrate them to double check the temperatures. Do not trust the thermometer that came with the unit.

Also...run it empty for a few days so you can get to know it first, before you put eggs in it.

I will try to get a pic tonight. Hard for me to tell if there is a fan in there. I have a calibrated meat thermometer reading between 99-100 and Bator is set at 99.5. I might bump it up a little if I determine it is still air.

If it has a fan you will see a fan.

Here is what mine looks like with no fan:

No I cant really detect air coming out but it does sound like a fan running. Is yours a 9300 or 9200? From what I was reading the 9200's had a heating element similar to yours.

My bad...Mine is fairly new to me and I was wrong...it is a 9200 not the 9300.
