I use a still air with much success and I cover my vents. I only uncover them about 4 or 5 times a day for about a half hour at a time to let air circulate. If you turn your eggs manually then you already have it open enough for the air exchange and in that case leave them plugged until day 18 and then leave only one partially open. If humidity gets to high: open the vents...To low: add water... If temp gets to low: close vents again. This has worked for me in my foam still air bator.
