Ok, so I have had the eggs in my LG still air incubator at what the pamphlets recomended 99.5. I have consistently had it at this temp. Then I came across a post saying it should be 101-102 in still air incubators! I could just scream or cry, what is this going to do to my hatch? Please tell me they will be ok. I only have 5 of 7 left.

put mine in the 21st at 1130pm.....hope we have not messed up!

not right...it was the 22!!

It's should be 101.5 at the top of the eggs in a still air. Because the air settles in layers the temp will be 99.5 at yolk level. Don't sweat it too much, they can take some variation in temp. A little too cool is better than too hot.

The thermometer lays on top of the eggs and reads 99.5, so I will raise my temp and hopefully we are ok.

I KNEW someone who knew would show up here!! Thanks......

I set the eggs the 21st at 1130pm.....the temps have remained constant at 99.5....I would even get up several times a night and check them. There are two thermometers in there sitting on top of the eggs. One will read 99.5 and the other will be just a little bit higher.

Should I now gently push the temp up?

Just checked....one at 99.5 and the other at 100.5

I hope that the 100 to 102 that mine is beginning to run is okay. I have a fan in there but no way to check humidity right now (am calibrating the humidity monitor). I have even taken one of my red plugs out and the temp is still up between 100 and 102.

I leave my thermometers on the wire of my still air at 99.5. My lg is a steady unit. I have recorded temps on top of eggs at 100-102. I have good hatches and don't worry too much about my temps which at this time of year go up during day and down at night. I don't operate heat or ac at this time of year where I live.

so I am thinking you don't have an egg turner in yours if you put the thermometer on the wire....I would not be able to see mine. My temps are running 99.5 to 100.5 on the two thermometers....my friend has the same LG and he keeps his right at 100 and he has hatched many times.....lol...all this trying to get things right!
