Lice maybe? Hen with bare neck

Hello!

I have 6 hens about 10 months old. All are laying daily, but one hen, Lois, has been missing her neck feathers for about 1.5-2 months now. At first I thought uneven molting or pecking order, but neither seem to be the case. I’ve been adding calcium to their diet but no change.

Recently however I noticed VERY tiny black bugs in the coop (wooden) when I cleaned it that jump around a bit. Are these lice and could they be causing Lois’s bare neck? Should I be concerned and how do I treat and get rid of them?

Is it the back of her neck or beneath her 'chin'? If on the lower part of her neck it is most likely feather picking.

Clean your Coop and use Dusting powder around the edges and the Roost.
