My hen has some parasites but don't know if they are lice or mites...or what to do. Help please.
 
Do you have a magnifying glass to look closely at the bug? Lice have 6 legs, move fast and are tan and leave behind clumps of white eggs at the base of feathers. Mites are slower, have 8 legs, and leave specks of droppings on skin. Permethrin garden dust, permethrin ready to use spray, and permethrin 10 concentrate mixed with water are good for treating chickens and the facilities once bedding is removed far away. Treat lice every 10 days and mites every 7 days at least twice to kill the bugs and stop the hatched eggs from reproducing. Have a look at this:
