Lice? Something else?

Hey all! I have 6 pheasants that have suddenly (at least we just recently noticed), are looking very bald on their backs. They seem to be picking their own feathers or scratching at them (can pheasants scratch their backs?) Would this be mites? Lice? What can I do to treat them and the surrounding areas? We have chicks in the cage next to them, silkies next to the chicks and standards on the other side of the pheasants. Please help!!
