I have a flock of 30. About half had a few lice on them in my last inspection. Only a couple were infested. I treated everyone with a thorough DE bath which did nothing--to my disappointment. I then resorted to Permectrin ii spray. I sprayed everyone. It has been 14 days. I do not see any leftovers.
I understand that with some treatments that reapplication is needed due to the hatching eggs. I have waited until today to consider another application because the instructions clearly say not to reapply for 2 weeks due to the residual. So, are the eggs dead with this chemical? Should I reapply?
Also, how long do you pull eggs for? I know technically you do not have to, but I only use medications or chemicals as last resort for my organic flock. I am in medical treatment and would not want any outside chemicals coming in.
Lastly, I have 3 ducks that live with my flock. Should I treat them too? I do not see any signs.
Thank you!
