We were in the Keys first week in Feb. Had a great time but, it was after the cold spell and I was told there was a lage fish kill. Would love to go back there again! Such nice people.. Tried to snatch one of those Keys gypsy chickens but that did not work so well.
When we were leaving Key West, saw a mamma with 12 chicks at a conveience store and the chicks were trying to get over a parking stop. The ones that were too small, finally figured out if they go around it was just as easy! And the papa was right behind guarding them all.
Whats nice is, it was 81 in Ft. Lauderdale when we landed about 9:30pm and was -10 in Omaha when we flew out. A 90 temp. change felt so good on our cold old bones!
