Life After Hatching & Random Barnyard Pictures!! (New)

Where I live it gets really hot, but that's just Northern California. It got 106 degrees yesterday and I had to cool down all my chickens. Durring the winter we get around 20-30 inches of rain. We have lots of predators. Everything and anything will go after your chickens. coyotes, bears, raccoons, hawks, bobcats, etc.

wow that is hot then, we don't get past about 36 degrees where I live, but up north its very different. Wow that's a lot of predators, here we have the usual dogs cats, stoats ferrits hawks and hedgehogs. have you ever seen chickens under a garden mister on a hot day? its quite amusing . last summer before the recent one it was a normal hot dry one, and in the vege patch I flooded an area about 2 inches deep and the chickens loved it, they were jumping around in it splashing and getting the bugs who floated out hahaha
