life span question

I was wondering, how long do chickens live? My dad had chickens as a cild but they were used for food, mine are my pets but wondering how long i'll have them

chickens with not threats of disease or predator can live up to fifteen years and more. my one rooster who was one that started it all for me is now thirteen years old and still going and looks great with his herim of girls:yiipchick
