I had two light brahmas, one was eaten by a fox

I was sure one was a hen and one was a rooster. The roo had a red face/comb at 5 weeks and was twice the size of the hen. he also has very big legs and pinfeathers on his neck (where she had lacy regular feathers)

here's my question. At 12 weeks this roo (I hope) doesn't have much in the way of waddles or a comb. Still red, looks like an eagle in the face. I can't post photos because my regular computer is on the blink. Anyone have any photos of a 12 week or so light brahma roo?

I want him to be a roo but i'm not sure if he is. Thank you!!!!

bangor, I know I've posted this pic a few times before, but this is my light roo Zeus at 9 weeks old. Don't have a recent one (they're 15 weeks old now), sorry.

This is Kumar, and he is around 13-15 weeks old. Yes, he is in my kitchen and he is standing on my countertop...

Gotta talk to my 12 year old about chickens and proper sanitation. Hope this helps.

beautiful birds! Well, i'm still stumped. he has very red face/comb/ears. his comb is like the photos, but wattles are just red lines under his chin. The neck feathers look like his though (where the one I thought was a female had very different neck feathers, black with white lacing, he has long thin feathers on his neck)

I guess I'll have to wait for a crow or an egg!

thank you for sharing photos of your boys!

bangor, my dark brahma rooster, hatched the same day as my light, has very little in the way of wattles. Pretty much an individual thing I'm thinking.
