Light Brahma rooster????

I really, really do don’t want 15+ chickens. I think I am going to see how it goes and maybe get 3 pullets this spring to introduce in the mix. 6 is my max.

That sounds like a good plan. Just see how things go-- watch for fighting among the males, and a bare back in the female. If these things become a problem, reassess the situation.

Ironically, all signs point to Betty Clucker (our only confirmed hen) being the leader of the flock. She is always first out of the coop in the morning; she eats first; and she is the first one to run up to us and eat treats out of our hands.
Our earliest crowing rooster (since we have 2 apparently 🤦‍♀️), Rocky, is always trailing behind. He seems to have a great personality though and has never bullied anyone.
