Light/heat lamp - what do you do?

I have a heat lamp set up in a small coop with 11 chickens. It gets really cold. They love the lamp! !!

However, I've been reading about light sources should be turned off, for sleep time.

Here's the question, (sorry I know it must be obvious, I want to be sure) does the light source apply to the red heat lamp I use? They hardly ever leave the coop (snow)

I have not noticed any sleep disruptions with the red heat lamp that I use. I have it on all the time and a separate white lamp on a timer to come on to extend their "daylight" in the morning. My chickies love the red one, too! They stand under it and look up and blink. So cute!
