Light near coop

The light might also tell your rooster (if you have any) to start crowing. Last weekend, my rooster started crowing at 1 AM for no discernible reason... but the motion sensor lights were on so I assume that’s why. Went out there and checked the coop, and nothing was bothering them.

Any light at night seems to be a problem. Recently I tried a 7 watt night light in my coop.
With my first Flock of 5 pullets, I had a 4 watt nightlight on all night.
When they started to lay, I noticed bullying behavior on the roosts, when I got home after dark to lockup the coop..
The second time I saw that is when I started to shut it off after lockup.
I have use a nightlight so they can eat and drink before hopping up to the roosts after sunset. 20191203_062745_resized.jpg . GC
