My chicks are 6 weeks old now and have been in there coop for 9 days now. They seem to be happy happy happy when i turn the light on at night. They eat drink and get on the roost. But when i don't, they just pile up in a corner and plop down and they do not move and chirp there heads off inviting pretators. Should I leave a light on at night for alittle longer to let them adjusted or do I just break them of it now?

At that age, if they don't need the light for heat I'd do away with it. It may take them several months to like to get on the roost, not to worry. They will huddle on the floor. Just make sure they are not chirping due to cold (I am assuming you are in FL so not cold LOL).
