Interesting. How many hens? I soooo can't bare to think of getting rid of any of these after putting so much effort in... I might be able to placate the neighbour, but still, if I've got 2/3 cocks, and only 5 pulls....
Thank youUsually each rooster needs at least 4 hens, but when I had three roos I only had 24 total chickens (21 hens). One of the roos actually acted like a hen, and only wanted one hen. I would say that, while more hens would only be good, it will probably work out, especially if one is more docile.
