I would love to get some light sussex, but have only been able to find them at Sand Hill Preservation Center are quite pricey at $4 each. I neither want nor can afford to buy 25 at that price.

Anyone know where else I can get some?

It amazes me that Light Sussex are ubiqutous in England; but utterly scarce here. A spoke with a poultry judge who had never seen one in competition. I have speckled sussex which look to be bred more along laying strains than dual purpose. A RIR crossed with a light sussex makes a very good laying sex-linked hybrid which is common in England, but probably unheard of here in the states.
