Lightbulb for brooder?

Babies are due this weekend, so time to set up the brooder. Wondering quickly if a bright normal lightbulb will work, or if I need a heat lamp?(I got paid today so I can go shopping!) Also, will newspaper work for the floor or do they need bedding?

Just making sure there's nothing I am missing before I go shopping.

You'll want a heat lamp or a heating plate/pad for the chicks. Newspapers can be very slippery for baby chicks and can result in a chick having leg issues. I have used pine shaving, paper towels, non slip rubber.... the chicks will need something they can grip.
