Lights in coop

We just finished our coop and it is long enough we put two indoor lights in. When the girls were young or when it got cold I used the heat lamps but now we only turn them on to make sure all of them got into the coop before dark. Then we turn them off, they've never asked "can we sleep with the light on, Mama" like our boys do:lol:. I don't think they need it on to find the bathroom either. We do have exterior lights that we turn on at night. Hope this helps.

Thanks all. I ended up putting in a florescent light strip on a timer. 6am on 7:30pm off.
As well as a regular light bulb for human use when cleaning in there and such.
And a red 100 w heat lamp over their roost. Since the nights are a little chilly I figured they wouldnt mind the extra warmth.
Although none of them are sleeping on the roosts yet. They are all huddled together in the corner on the floor.
