Everyday my Redstar produces eggs between 11:30 and Noon. Today I was messing around in the yard so I let the two older girls free range for a few hours.

At about noon I decided to go to the coop to hang a fresh cabbage head for the little ones to play with/eat.

As I walking down the trail to the coop the red star goes running by me like a marathon sprinter,.. I was like what is wrong with her?

When I arrived to the coop she was pacing back and fourth to be let back in the coop (the door auto closes so I never forget to close it.)

I open up the door for her and she runs in the coop, up the ramp and lands in the nesting box! Five minutes later she jumps out of the box and strolls down the ramp.

I must say this was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Reminds me of the one time I had too many cherries... (you can imagine)

Anyone else have chickens that are so "Regular"?

Yes. Everday between 3 and 3:30. And if you are in the coop when she is ready she will pace the floor til you leave.
