Lilly, my Barred Rock hen, started biting.

I brought my pet hen indoors for winter and gave her a toy piano, which she loves. Now, if I touch the piano she bites me hard enough to draw blood. We previously had a little game where we each tapped out notes on the keys.

I have never had this issue except with eggs. If it's "hers" then personally I would just leave it alone. With eggs I just had to be fast and unhesitant.

Sounds like she needs to be outside in a properly designed and sized coop and run with a flock of chickens.

Her friends were picked off by racoons, but that was in the early fall.

Are you going to get more chickens at some point? How did they pick them off?
