Hi,
I'm building my first run and need to know if lime-stone screenings are ok for the base. The screenings are the left overs from the size sorting process of the stone. Many people add this for added calcium. Will this be too hard on the feet though for a base?

In principle, you would want the kind of limestone that is not high in magnesium -- I forget if that is dolomitic limestone or, uh, the other kind -- but in reality I have never actually HEARD of anyone having problems even from the higher-magnesium version. It would be a source of calcium, and is basically harmless. If not especially cheap
