My flock is 13 months old. I noticed last week that one of the hens comb is limp and she seemed to be uncomfortable. (Standing alone, leaning forward and feathers fluffed) I picked her up and took her out of the run to examine her. I found this half out of her vent. (Picture of white thing in the grass). Since then I’ve found three others. The other hens eat them. I’ve also noticed something similar inside one egg I cracked. 😳
They all seem to be going through a light molt. Their heads are loosing feathers and their underbodies are going bald.
this particular hen’s personality has perked back up and seems to “feel” better but still has a limp comb. I keep finding these white things... assuming they are from her?
Should I e worried about her?
