Limping 8 week old RIR chick

I have a chick that’s been limping for about 3 days. I’ve checked her foot and didn’t see anything, she’s eating and drinking, she try’s to keep up with the other gals. Does anyone have suggestions and know what could be wromg? She’s the smallest and it’s sad to see her ”gimpy“.

Unfortunately no, threw my back out this morning. When she’s standing she holds the back of the foot up off the ground. When she’s walking she’ll limp around. Looked again last night and didn’t see any cuts or infection on the pads.

I'm sorry to hear about your back - ouch!

If it's a sprain/injury, then it can take a while to feel better. It sounds like she's self-limiting her activity a bit.
You may want to just keep an eye on her for a few days to see if it improves.
