I was given two very sick and almost dead female quails. They have been recovering well for a week, I've cut a bumblefoot yesterday (first time ever) but I still have some problems with them which I have not addressed as I am not experienced. One has yellow around the vent which I don't think is a big issue. The other one is limping and her foot from knee above is blue. Not swallen, just blue. Does anyone know what is causing the blue foot? She is recovering really well from a full scalping.

That's the hock, or ankle, which is bruised. It could've banged into something, & hurt it's self there.
Not sure about the crusty vent. I don't have experience with quails.
