Limping Chicken healing time?

Hi, everyone. My least "bright" 1 year old Ameraucana hens tripped over a stick the other day, and has had a limp since. The other hens were pecking at her, so we brought her into the garage and made a little area for her. She's been doing well in confinment, but it's been 9 days now, and she is still not putting any weight on her hurt leg. When we put her out alone in the yard, she hops just on the one good foot or very gently will limp on the hurt foot.

We had another hen that had a broken/hurt leg last year, and she healed herself just fine after some time. I can't recall how long it took for her to heal though.

Anyone have any recollection of how long it takes for a leg to be good as new?

i am sorry to hear your hen is hurt, have you tried soaking in warm epsom salt water? I don't know if a chicken can sprain something but sounds like thats what she did, I'm sure you've cheked her for broken bones?
