Overnight miracles dont happen when it comes to sprains/strains with ligaments and tendons in chickens. TIME heals. It requires time and patience on your part.

@dawg53 Yes, thank you. I've read your post. 👍🏻 Rest will always help. 🙂

@Ccort After feeling her leg tonight and doing some PT, I believe Olive dislocated her patella, and it's not a simple sprain which I'd hoped it'd be. It may account for why her white blood cell count was high when they tested it yesterday. I can manipulate the piece towards her kneecap, but I don't want to do it without further guidance from the avian vet. (As I said to the vet yesterday, I've only attended Google Veterinary Medical School and I'd prefer to defer to her education and experience instead, lol.)

Here's a picture of where I think her injury is:

And I also added the original non-marked up picture in case you wanted to see it for your own reference.

Olive's sleeping by my bed now. She's a bit ticked at me for manipulating her leg. I'll try getting ahold of the avian vet in the morning and let you know any update if I have one. Please keep in touch if you can, I'm invested in how your lovey is doing. And thank you for posting back. My apologies if I hijacked your post; it definitely wasn't my intention.

Simply follow the instructions in this link if you have a limping hen, post #4. I've dealt with these types of injuries.

Do not give a limping bird any type of pain medication. The bird will further injure herself by having reduced pain or no pain at all. You want her to feel pain so she doesnt walk. Time heals, like a sprained ankleher le
Update.

She is no worse but also no better.

Can I pop a Vit B complex SOFTGEL in her mouth?
