limping chicken.

this morning when I let the chickens out into their pen, one chicken was very slow, her tail feathers were down, she came out and just sat down. then wehn I let the chickens out of the pen into the yard, she did't come out. Usually they cant wait, and are crowding around clucking. she wouldnt even eat greens when I put them down next to her...she got up and limped away! she seems lethargic. she was fine yesterday.... she mostly is sitting, but when she stands up she keeps her rt leg up.....Help...how can I help her.

she may have injured her leg jumping off the roost or got stepped on, I have stepped on many feet. Try to give her a quite place for a few days. If you think she is sick you may want to isolate anyway. Give her food and water and warm for a few days and see what happens. Adding electrolyte solution in her water will help her out for now.
