Hi. I have a Rhode Island Red that has been limping for a week or so now. She is not moving much. Spends most of her day in the coop but periodically comes out and about. When she sits, she sits off to one side resting the leg out that she's "nursing." A few months ago she had Bumble Foot on the other leg. I thought we had it completely taken care of (there are no signs of it still around) but wondering if it could have gone systemic. I have checked both her feet and no injury or bumble foot. There doesn't seem to be a break in the leg either. Any ideas on what this could be and what I should do? Also, she has not laid since this started. Other than that she seems healthy. She has not lost any weight, looks alert.

I have a duck that is doing this. I will get back to you in a few hours!

I fit gets serious, I would take her to the vet. She may have slipped on something and that caused swelling in her foot. It should go away over time. Another thing might be to separate her from other chickens and increase the protein in her feed.
